Fundraising and Communications Manager

Responsible to: Co-CEOs
Location: Work from home and/or from Brunswick office
Work Type: 0.8 FTE - 1.0 FTE
Hours: 9am-5pm, flexible work arrangements possible 
Salary: $79,279 - $84,376 p.a. plus super
Start date: September 2021

About the role

The Fundraising and Communications Manager will raise $1m across our fundraising programs, in particular our annual peer to peer campaign and regular giving program. They will develop and implement a three year fundraising growth strategy with a focus on regular giving, major gifts and individual giving. They will lead, coach and motivate our fundraising and communications team of three to achieve our ambitious targets.

Key Selection Criteria

  • Passion for and commitment to Climate for Change’s mission and work
  • At least three years experience in a similar fundraising role in an environmental NGO or other not-for-profit organisation
  • Experience in developing and delivering fundraising strategies, projections, plans and budgets
  • Experience in implementing and growing fundraising programs, with a preference given to candidates with diverse experience across several areas of fundraising, or evidence of an ability to upskill quickly. Areas might include: peer-to-peer fundraising, regular giving, major gifts, trust and foundations, and individual giving
  • Experience in developing supporter-centric communications and supporter journeys
  • Leadership experience in motivating a small team to achieve ambitious goals
  • Strong project management skills including effective planning, time management and organisational skills
  • A strong team player with good interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
